HOW WE HELPED
MyMiltonKeynes BID is responsible for promoting Milton Keynes City Centre as a destination for shopping, hospitality, leisure, and culture. Their goal was to increase awareness of the area, drive footfall, and better connect with a younger audience discovering places through social media. They knew video-first content would help, but didn’t have the in-house expertise or time to manage trends, filming, editing, and strategy effectively.
Working alongside MyMiltonKeynes’ in-house marketing team, we supported their wider strategy by delivering consistent, high-quality short-form video content designed to increase visibility, engagement, and local discovery.
Their internal team led the broader marketing direction and long-term brand strategy, while we focused on bringing that strategy to life through social-first video production that felt current, engaging, and built for the right audience.
Each month included:
-
Monthly strategy meeting to align content with other campaigns and wider business goals
-
A filming day on location across Milton Keynes City Centre
-
Content strategy plan based on trends, platform behaviour, and audience engagement
-
Delivery of 18 fully edited short-form videos, complete with captions and hashtag strategy
This part of our Social Media Video Production service designed to support a much bigger marketing plan and give their team stronger, more strategic content assets.
THE IMPACT
The result was a stronger, more modern social presence that better reflected the energy of Milton Keynes City Centre and supported the BID’s wider mission of driving footfall, local loyalty, and visibility.
Alongside the launch of the new MyMK City Centre consumer brand and website, MyMK reported nearly 70% follower growth across Meta channels and 360% growth on TikTok, while their website ranked on page one of Google for key search terms including shopping, eating out, and nights out .
As part of that wider strategy, consistent short-form video helped create stronger engagement, better local discovery, and a more recognisable presence for both the city centre and the businesses within it.
